The FIRST was that at the very beginning, he formed a clear picture, a vision, of what he wanted the company to ultimately look like. The SECOND was that he thought about how a company that looked that way, would need to act.
The THIRD reason, was that: AFTER he had the vision of how IBM would look AND how it would need to ACT in order to LOOK that way, he realized, that unless they acted that way from the very beginning, it simply would not happen…..
